If you like fantasy novels that don't waste a second getting started, this just may be your cup of tea. In My Own Shadow revved up on the second page and took off at sixty miles per hour. The multi-dimensional aspects of this story were truly enjoyable. Though the heart of the story is romance, it was the adventure of transversing new terrains that really had my interest. A great story.
Susan draws the reader into this strange and different world. Through the main character Lara, the reader learns about this new world. This story has moments of conflict, mystery, and, of course, young romance. Thanks, Susan for a great read.
Susan took me on a journey through an incredible world. Her vivid descriptions really let me see and discover this strange new place with Lara. A bit of mystery and romance wound through the tale as well, although I could have used a bit more development on the romance.
Susan Royal takes us on a fascinating journey that leads to a surprise final encounter with an unanswered question that suggests there may be more to come.
