Daisy and her class have SPACE FEVER after a talk about stars, moons and faraway planets. THEN their teacher announces they're going to spend a WHOLE WEEK learning all about space. How COSMIC is that?!
Trouble is, SPACE FEVER follows Daisy back home too. And turning your bedroom ceiling into the universe isn't that easy. Even with lots of glow-in-the-dark stars, superglue, and your best friend to help . .

Daisy and the Trouble With Space is a book for kids, written by Kes Gray, and illustrated by Garry Parsons (as per the information in the copyright section). It's a book about a girl whose class has been excited about space. It's a very conversational book and told to us by Daisy as if she's chatting about all the exciting things that has been happening. It’s a very friendly book, oriented at learning more about space and finding out about all the cool things that space is about.
I consider it to be a pretty okay book. I think it’s the type of thing that a lot of kids would find exciting. It has all sorts of little factoids about space, and covers several different space related topics, like talking about planets, stars, etc. It encourages education and learning. I think Daisy is a fairly positive role model and she’s eager to talk to the reader about what has been going on in the book.
The book is absolutely full of illustrations. There’s so many of Daisy and her friends learning and teaching each other about all sorts of space related things. Plus, a few creative scenes of their imaginations.
Overall, it’s a pretty okay book. I’m sure any kid would love to give it a read, and it may even give them a bit of inspiration about learning more on the topic. I do recommend the book.
I have read all of the Daisy books with my children and we always get excited when a new one is released. When we heard Daisy was going to encounter space we imagined all the mishaps that would result in. Unfortunately, the book didn't actually live up to our ideas. Maybe Daisy is maturing or learning the errors of her ways as we were left waiting right until then end for any classic "Daisy" mess. However, my daughter was still engaged and what we lost out on in laughs we gained in interesting chats about space. It wouldn't be the book I would suggest to someone new to Daisy but if you are already a fan then it's definitely worth a read.
