I have read and reread this book every since I was a little girl. I still love reading the stories today.

I learned alot about diverse African cultures and traditions. Learning somthing new is really the greatest gift of any good fairytale so this collection was spot on. I was greatful to have found it at all its so old and out of print. I wish more Black fairytale books would be printed. If you find this one it's a treasure.
