In Life's Endless Barter, There Are Debts To Be Paid... As Judy lay there, regaining her strength, pieces of recent events were slowly beginning to make sense. Judy was passing a local doorway at the side of a building when someone had grabbed her from behind. The assailant had roughly covered her mouth hard with his gloved hand. She attempted to scream but the obstruction made it difficult for her to breathe, much less let out a cry. She remembered the seemingly joyful noises and the screaming of others around her. The muscles in her arms ached under the resisting pressure but she was determined to see the face of the man who dared to lay his hands on her person. As they scuffled, Judy was able to rip free of his claws and turned herself about. For a moment that seemed like an eternity, Judy stared into the hollowed out eyes of the clown's mask which he had obviously wore to hide his face. Her soul cringed as she stared at the broad, ridiculing smile which was painted across the mouth area. Set within those lips were what appeared to be uneven, jaggedly sharp teeth. Though the reality held an unreal harshness, Judy knew that it was him, it could be no other. For the briefest of moments, she felt comfort in the hope that this was all a joke but as she stared at the ghastly smile, she realized that the demon was now ripping at her clothing. During the year 1843, in the beautiful and prospering state of Louisiana, many, including the Green family, seek honest and exciting opportunities. But there are those in the city of New Orleans that have needs and motivations which are a bit more on the insidious side. Young Judy, who possesses psychic abilities, feels driven to become a powerful spiritual figure. Secrets unfold as the line between truth and deception and good and evil find a home. About the author

I spent my first few decades growing up in New York City and I continue to be amazed by it's diversity. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to develop as an artist at Music & Art High School. I then attended the City College of New York where I received a degree in psychology. For the the pass thirty years I've worked with the less fortunate who are intellectually disabled. I've got two wonderful daughters who keep me on my toes and a mate who has helped me to see sides of friendship and love that I did not know existed. My stories explore the poignant memories of my early years and the familiar hauntings of the dark side of fiction.

As a busy record label executive..I find myself in my leisure time... just wanting to unwind, kick back and immerse myself in a good book. My go to author....for a long time has been Lloyd A. Green.

Mr. Green (a native New Yorker) is a master story teller and a true literary talent, (whoʼs writing abilities should be embraced by the masses) ; and shines very "brightly" with engaging story telling
techniques and plots. Having read two of his earlier works ....I was no less surprised how "well written" and creatively put together "The Green Legacy" was!

From the moment the story unfolds..you find yourself transported back to the early-to-mid
1800's in Louisiana; where a young beautiful woman finds herself endowed with psychic powers..and setʼs out on a course experiencing love, pain and seeking revenge.

Mr Green, crafts his story so well.... that the reader is taken on a constant ride of mystery, intrigue and a surprising "who done it" along the way. I could not put the book down....and had to read it to the end!

He mixed his imagination along with some family history and told a famously great story.
I was “enthralled” reading this book and highly recommend it to anyone. It's a must read!

Very well written, within a few pages I was sucked in the story.
I haven’t read the other two books but this is a stand-alone so it doesn’t matter.
It’s set in the 18 hundreds but not so much that you’re constantly aware of it.
New Orleans and Voodoo are usually connected in the stories I know. Very intriguing!
The character who calls herself Judy now is very powerful and has a clear sense of her path in life.
Amazing who she turns out to be!

I received an advance reader copy dor this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.
This was an interesting take on a family legend. While it was difficult at time to follow because of the head/character hopping that took place within such a short novel, it was engaging and worth a read.
I only wish it had been a little longer and more detailed

This was a good book. Lloyd Green entwined two main stories very masterfully and brought them together and to a satisfying conclusion. If I say too much, I'll spoil it but suffice to say he brought Marie Laveaeu, Dr. John and a cast of characters inspired by his real life ancestors together in a tale of mystery and magic with a really neat surprise near the end. I recommend it.

This is the third book in the Reflections of EL series. While searching his family tree he decided to present as a story. The characters are based on his search. Is a short book that failed to hold my interest.

A very interesting story based on fact. I especially enjoyed the parts taking place in New Orleans. I think the author Lloyd A Green must have had a great time researching and learning about his forefathers. I won this book on Goodreads and thank them. I had a lovely time reading it.
