As we move into summer, I suggest this book for every parent to read along with your child. It is listed for older elementary or teens with ADHD, but it is actually an excellent book to read together with any child. It's a book about understanding your feelings. It is written as sort of a workbook with lots of cartoons, but it also contains excellent information. With all of the tragedies surrounding us, I think that it is a perfect time to sit down and read and talk about our feelings. I have used this book in my work with several students. It is a wonderful way to encourage young people to talk.

This book is ONLY about emotions. For some reason it came up in my quest to find more on AD/HD but there is very little about that in the book. Like a previous reviewer said, it's confusing to whom would read it as it seems dumbed down for most kids and too advanced for younger ones. I don't know. If your child struggles with identifying their emotions, it may be useful but definitely get from the library first! I skimmed through it and found nothing useful personally....

It takes a lot for me to actually WRITE a review. The material was fantastic but I can't figure out who the audience is... It's too young for an adult and really written for a Kindergartner--who wouldn't really be able to read it anyway. Maybe it's written for therapists to read to their kids. It was too watered down and young for my 8 year old Aspie. Great material but the presentation was a little condescending for my child
