MONSUNO is a character-driven series following five teenagers as they create emotional bonds with huge monsters called Monsuno. The power of the human heart will make all the difference between the world’s salvation or utter destruction.
Follow the adventures of Chase, Jinja, Dax, Bren and the rest of Team Core-Tech as they search for Chase’s father and they discover the power of Monsuno.
Chase, Bren, Jinja and the others travel to a faraway island to find the mysterious Dr. Serizawa, who may have information about Chase’s missing dad. Instead, they come face-to-face with an old enemy and an ancient secret that changes everything they think they know about the history of Monsuno on Earth...and puts the entire world in peril!
As someone who has never watched this anime series, who keeps reading the mangas, I am beginning to wonder if Chase will ever find his father. And, if so, how long will it take? And, if not, how long will this series drag on without the main thing actually happening? Semi-rant aside, I must say that coloring of this manga series is nice. I read the other 2 volumes on my B&W eReader, so I never saw that before. But, I read this 3rd volume on my new tablet, in color. Very nice. I think the *Ben 10* and *Hello Kitty* volumes will be as well, since they are also full-color. I didn't like the Professor, and hated how he used to the children to no end. I question whether he ever even actually had ties with Chase's father in the past. I was really happy, when they left him. ------------------------ This volume was provided to me as an eManga by VIZ Media, via Edelweiss, in exchange for an honest review. This graphic novel/comic book features the team as they continue the quest for Chase's father.
The graphics are great with superb detail and help to drive the story.
However, the characters are a little under developed/stereotypical. Perhaps, as this is a series, they will grow/develop their own strengths/merits with time.
The plot is a semi-standard "monster" attack, but the monster is visually enjoyable.
