From the time Stephen Foster was young, he loved music. Though he didn't do well in school, he excelled at playing instruments and writing songs. His talent at music and songwriting allowed him to write hits such as "Oh! Susanna," "Swanee River," and "My Old Kentucky Home," many of which are remembered today.
