This is a weird book to review, maybe, because it's basically a technical manual, but Scheck just did such a good job of simplifying what could have been a very complicated process. Using the techniques in this book, I wrapped my first fly rod, on a bamboo blank made for me by a friend. Ironically, I later took a picture of that rod in a snowstorm, and that picture wound up being used for the cover of a Very Famous Author's book on bamboo.
Scheck's step-by-step pictorials are clean, easy to follow, and lots of fun to try at home. If you've ever thought about wrapping up any rod yourself, this is the only book you will need.
