A good introduction to the home-based hobby of cocktail making with plenty of pictures and separate categories explaining the basics.

It also provides various alternatives for beginners, who do not have all the resources available to make professional drinks, but would like to expand their knowledge and skill.

The recipe section is divided into various styles of cocktails, including seasonal drinks for summer and winter times. I did hope to find a larger repertoire of classic cocktails, but was a bit disappointed to find specially created drinks typical to the B.C. area.

Overall, I will definitely return this book for guidance and inspiration and to hone my newly found interest in making cocktails.
