This book has a lot of poems in it that were written a long time ago but they are appropriate for little kids. The poems in this book are ones such as Humpty Dumpty, Mary had a Little Lamb, etc. The strengths of this book consist of the different pictures throughout the book, the rhyming words to show children that they correspond, the pictures throughout the story are very colorful and they gave a variety of the poems. If a teacher is presenting poems to his/her students, there are different varieties for each student to be engaged into the text. Each student has their own personal favorite when it comes to poems. I think the different pictures shown in the book catches the children's eyes because of the different colors and schemes of it.
