Shelley Hitz is an author of over 50 books. However, most importantly she is a wife, daughter, sister, friend and follower of Christ. She has been ministering alongside her husband, CJ, since 1998 and her main passion is to share God's truth and the freedom in Christ she has found with others. 21 Stories of Faith, compiled by Shelley Hitz, is a book that is sure to lift your spirits, put you in a hopeful mood, strengthen your faith, and show you how God intervenes and makes His presence and provision known. Sometimes I find myself fearful and my faith wavering, and these stories told by ordinary people reinforced for me that God can be trusted no matter how big or small my needs and requests are. While reading through this book, I stopped and asked myself if I were really living a life of faith, and if so, why am I sometimes so weighed down by doubt, fear and worry. I was reassured that when I need a miracle, I know I’m going to the right One to receive help and His answer.

I was also reminded that I’m not alone in struggling with faith and needing God to intervene. As His child, learning to lean on Him for provision, for healing, for having the courage to leave my comfort zone, or for help in finding a job is what I’m supposed to do. He takes joy in performing miracles on our behalf. No matter what our concerns are, He can be counted on to meet them because He is a good God.

I give this uplifting book a rating of 5 and believe it would be a good addition to anyone’s library. I think this would also make a great gift.

This book is a great example of how God touches the lives of ordinary people like you and me. As I read the 21 different stories, I could feel a connection with each story. The book is filled with practical examples of when people focus their lives on God, he will meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The book is a practical guide on applying the heart knowledge of the Christian faith not head knowledge. My own faith was enriched by reading about the diverse ways our God reaches out and touches our lives. I strongly believe that the more we share our faith stories the more we grow in our faith. This book reinforced my beliefs.

This is my second book by this author, and I have found both books to be filled with practical applications of the Christian faith. Shelley Hitz is a young woman who has a deep commitment to the Christian faith and a gift for writing books on the practical applications of her faith.

What a wide variety of faith-building stories! Lilly is traveling around the world on a boat which God gave them with an amazing deal. Another writer offers a free thirty-minute personal success coaching session! At the end of chapter 12, there is an especially meaningful prayer which we have started to incorporate in our own devotions on a daily basis. I read this book to my husband as he was driving and we both found it eye-opening and valuable.

It always amazes me how much I learn from books like this one. I, for some reason, seem to think I'm the only one with these problems. Yet when I read stories of other people and their faith that God will be there for them I realize how much more I need to "Let go, Let God". I need to have more faith that he will always be there for me, not just when I need something but always.
I've learned God is not an "occational" God but and "Always" God. A forever God, Loveing, enduring, and so much more. That's the faith I lean more and more each time I read books like 21 Stories of Faith.

A great uplifting read of the lives of ordinary people who God blessed in extraordinary ways! You can't help but feel lighter after reading, and encouraged that together you and God can face whatever it is you are facing. Loved the fact that at the end of the stories there were links to further read up on/check out further books, sites on them. Great book. Read it, and lift your load today!

This was one of those books I picked up when I really needed Gods wisdom and He provided it each time. I loved that each story was unique but so filled with stories of faith in God. I also appreciate that there are websites for most of the stories to do further research and find out more about the contributors. Feeling down? Discouraged? Read this book and be uplifted by stories of faith by 21 different authors. The other night I needed something to stir my heart and encourage me. This amazing book, filled with personal stories of real people's struggles, victories, and faith, built me up and blessed me. Easy to read. Engaging. WOW!! I loved it. :)

This is a collection of brief essays from a variety of people, each relating how his or her faith was strengthened. Each contributor has a unique story, voice, and experience. Good book - quick read - definitely worth it.

Good book, but not a favorite. I've read similar books and prefer the kind where the person's story speaks for itself. This one was a bit preachy.
