By doing so he believes he can spare his life-long hero the pain of losing his most beloved son. A race against time and an unforeseen future ensues which becomes a struggle for freedom and survival.

I didn't realize that this was a short story when I started it. I found it interesting. I always like to read books about time travel. I only wish the author would have talked about how history evolved in this scenario.
