I really like how the two books in this series are so different from what you normally get in this genre. They take on serious issues and keep you guessing. I highly recommend you read them in order.

Cassandra takes on Taya's role to show what is really going on in these institutions for werewolves. They are prisons and not what the government likes to pretend are nice places to live. She gets infected so she can spy on everything and expose it to the public. It is a dangerous mission and one that truly haunts her.

I am not going to reveal a lot of what goes on but will say there is some really serious themes and it is not a light-hearted story in any way. It is a brutal process for her in many ways and changes everything.

I loved reading this take on a werewolf story in book 1 and this one was no different. I couldn’t wait to get started on the second standalone in the series (although I recommend to read in order to get the full story) and find out what happens next. I liked revisiting these characters again and seeing what they were up to after the end of Taya’s story.
I loved the journey Cassandra had to go through to bring light on the Reservation. I thought she was such a strong character at times, I liked her interactions with the others.
There were a few slow going parts in the book where I found my mind wandering while reading it but I couldn’t put it down even then as I couldn’t wait to know what happens in the end. But I felt that the ending was rushed a little which made it finish pretty quickly.
I hope there will be another book in the series as I would love to see what happens next for the werewolves\

Reading the first book to a series is always a good idea but this one was wrote in such a way that you do not need that first one to enjoy the book.
Previously Taya is sent to the werewolf reservation to find out information but failed at getting the information out. Except some people DID get the information. Cassandra Frost read Tayas report and willingly gets the werewolf virus so she can be planted on the reservation to get it taken down She did not know that the structure of the reservations hierarchy was so flawed with people being leaders who shouldn't, people getting picked on just because, and people acting like just because they won some challengers that everyone should bow down to them.
She joins the fight to get things changed in the reservation. We can only see if her work can be finished.

Right from the beginning you'ryou're so caught up in the drama that is under folding before your eyes. Marla puts a spin on her series and you don't know who to trust or who your friends are. You have to read this series to get a different perspective.

I generally did not like this book I don’t know if it’s because I read so much of this genre that I have a high standard and threshold for it I just felt like the characters weren’t developed enough and the issues weren’t really a bigger issue along the way and there were minor issues that could be resolved and you can tell this wasn’t written by a female because the easy breeze over the fact that she slept with him when she was drunk was astounding and there was so many issues that just kept cropping up within this that I just couldn’t like the characters or the story but This is my own personal opinion

I downloaded A Month with Werewolves as part of a free Anthology- With Werewolves box set- from Amazon. I read this immediately after book one, and liked this storyline even more than the first. Lots of holes in the plotting and the end wrapped up too fast after the detail that came before, but still a good read.
