Alicia’s FollyALICIAA tropical vacation turns to heartache when Alicia makes an incorrect assumption. While enjoying a brief vacation between jobs, Alicia Danvers runs into self-made millionaire Nathan Langston. Literally. She’s always wanted to knock a man off-balance, but would have preferred to do it with her looks or a hot dress. She never expected to send one sprawling onto his back and land on top of him, kicking and flailing. Surprisingly, sparks fly. The more she sees him, the more she wants to know him and help him get his sense of self back. Unable to stop herself, she throws caution to the wind, as well as her heart out into the open for him to catch. When it lands unexpectedly back at her feet, courtesy of his ex, she goes home to lick her wounds and move on with her life. It’s a task much easier said than done.NATHANNate gets more than he bargained for when he meets Alicia Danvers. His girlfriend dumping him, right when he decides it’s time to propose, has left Nate Langston with a broken heart and a considerably trampled ego. With thoughts of “Where did I go wrong?” plaguing him, he meets, rather unexpectedly, Alicia Danvers. Her initial ‘impact’ upon him has left him wanting more and he’s determined to get it, even if he has to deal with her former boss and his creepy detective friend. Just as he comes to realize she’s “the whole package” his ex wasn’t, she leaves without a word. Angry and hurt by two women in less than a month, he returns home to continue building his fortune. Memories of their time together haunt him and a phone call changes his life forever.

This read was short and sweet. When I finished it I was all warm and fuzzy inside. *sigh*

I really liked the characters as well as the story-line. Because, come on, who doesn't like a sweet novel set in Trinidad??? Even the cover screams 'cute' and 'relaxing', don't ya think? Although, the plastic chaise-longues are just no.

Alicia Danvers works as a paralegal. When her boss gets sick and has to close the office permanently he and his partner offer her a trip to Trinidad. What a gift, huh? Nate Langston is a millionaire who, right when he decides it's time to pop the question, his girlfriend dumps him. With a broken heart and a bruised ego he also goes to Trinidad -he was supposed to propose his girlfriend there. When Alicia and Nate meet, it's lust at first sight. They spend a great week together but some revelations don't let things go exactly as planned...

Alicia was a great character. She was smart and did not lie to herself -ahem- although she did make assumptions. Nate was this awesome mix of alpha-male and awkwardness -emphasis on the alpha-male. I also liked Nate's ex girlfriend, Liz, but before you judge me, she is not what she appears to be.

Overall, if you're looking for a light, relaxing, cute read then pick this one up!
