I'm biased in favour of heroines with just a little tiny bit of wit between their shell-like ears. Ones who, confronted with their cheatin', thievin', no-darn-good ex-fiancés coming at them with a lethal weapon, don't muse to themselves, "I had no idea why I didn't ring the police, but, gee, something kept me just standin' there like a lemon".
I have to confess I didn't make it past chapter 5, so incensed was I by all the TSTL stuff, so it might possibly have got better after that. On the whole, though, if you like them brainless, this will be your kind of book.
My first Harlequin romance book. It was what I expected. The storyline was rather vague and not realistic. The main character was, of course, amazing in every way, and she met a man who was amazing in every way. I actually think that it could have had a deeper and richer storyline. It just fell a little flat. It was better than I expected.
