This tries to be both a Pocoyo book and a little golden book and Im not sure it suceeds at being either. There are better books from both series.

What's good about it:
The characters in the book, rather than going to the circus, put on their own circus. Each character plays a role, such as clown, trapeze artist, etc., inviting imaginative play.
What's not so good:
A character dresses up as a "fierce lion," thus reinforcing the notion that wild animals should be part of a circus. Today, there are circus shows that use no animals at all, and indeed performing exotic animal shows increasingly being seen as inhumane, archaic, and embarrassing (and justifiably so).
