Thou shalt not suffer a vampire to live...

My name is Ran Hwang. Raised to hunt the vampires that have infiltrated every corner of our world, I know them for what they really are and I'll do anything, everything to send them back to the grave where they belong.

When a beautiful man promises to lead me straight into vampire society and eliminate a key player in their politics in exchange for protecting him while on a mission to find his missing lover, I can't resist. The chance to strike the monsters where it'll hurt them the most nor the chance to unravel the mysteries surrounding Jason Eldridge is the opportunity of a lifetime and I readily agree.

The ante has been raised. My prey is stronger, smarter, deadlier and I am surrounded by enemies, both vampire and otherwise.

But I am not so helpless. Born with a unique ability that allows me to fight vampires toe to toe, I will rip off the masks these monsters wear and I will expose them for the abomination they are.

I am Ran Hwang.

I am...INVINCIBLE.

"Invincible" is the first book I've read by Fionn Jameson and quite frankly I was underwhelmed. The plot was just okay, the lack of emotions between the characters left me emotionally uninvested. However, the biggest problem I had with the book was the writing. Jameson repeatedly used the phrase, "Let's go," or We've got to go " to nauseum. Additionally, when a character made a comment the author would repeat it too many times to mention. It was irritating and totally unnecessary.

I definitely will not be continuing on with this series and I was thankful I was able to borrow this book from the amazon prime kindle lendable library and didn't have to pay for it. It just was not my cup of tea!

Wonderfully Creative

There's so much adventure and action in this story. Ran is put to the test when she's given her lone job. She's spent her entire life living up to what's expected of her. Her well laid plans are shot to help, literally when one man bent on revenge turns the tables on her. The characters are realistic and have the reader hanging on while they battle, contrive, conspire, blackmail and run from one disaster to another. Promises made are promises meant for Ran and nothing stands in the way of fulfilling them Great read. A little editing is needed but it doesn't distract from the story.

The title for this book brought to mind many questions about being invincible. What would you do for this strength? What would you risk to be invincible? Who would you trust knowing you're invincible? To be perfectly honest I thought the author did an awesome job using honor as mantra and exploring different kind of vampire lore. I thought the characters were honest, emotional, mysterious, and dramatic. I will definitely look forward to more of this author's work.

I really liked this book. I enjoyed letting my imagination run with the scyfi theme in this. I was really rooting for the characters like I knew them.
