We left off the last book with all sorts of bad things happening. Are all the work and money that the ladies, including Laura have put into the project just going to go up in smoke. Will the Historical society win and take the Inn and Lighthouse away from them.
They all have to solve the mystery of who would do this to them and the town. So they start their search only to head to the person most likely to be responsible. They have evidence that she was around right before the tragedy and therefore their best suspect.
Unfortunately all leads point to the fact that it could not have been her.
In the meantime, Michael takes charge and brings the building crew back in to start cleaning up and to do the reconstruction. Everyone pulls together to continue making things right and working to help.
They have cameras but not sure if they would work since they were not connected yet to the mainframe.....but wait, a buddy shows them that even though they hadn't done that yet there was still a chance to see what was recorded. Thank heavens for the glorious cloud....
Yep, there it is, yep she is starting the fire, yep she is crazy and wants revenge but no one suspected her at all. They did not even know she was still around.
Now the silly part is that Katrina's husband says he will take her back if she apologizes and tows the line. Wait isn't he the one who lost all their money? And what about Raelynn's ex. He says he wants her back but isn't he the one who cheated with her son's fiance and doesn't want her to tell him. She is smart, just wants her share of their house that just sold. No going back.
But in the end we see that everyone is where they should be and who they should be with. Some surprises throughout the book as usual for a Sage Parker Series.
Enjoy the time you have spent on Tybee island...I kinda want to go there now.
