This simple introduction to the work of the well-known animal welfare group, the ASPCA, is designed for beginning readers. Photos show the evolution of the group from Henry Bergh's crusade on behalf of carriage horses to the group's protection of dogs and cats in modern times.
This book would be a fine resource for early elementary students writing a book report or learning about animal welfare.
I purchased this book for my library.
