I didn’t want it to come to this but I’m counting this as a book read. Hear me out! I had to read it FOUR TIMES for my communications class. Granted 3/4 I was skimming to find an in text citation I could use but it counts for sure.

I read this great book on group dymamics and found it to be a powerful read. I spoend most of my time trying to get groups or shifts to perform and execute at a high level. Anyone who job it is to motivate and inspire groups of people will find it to be a very challenging task. This book explains the conflcits that take place both positive and negative as groups begin to take shape and reshape themselves into high perfoming teams. I learned much from the book especially about the early stages "forming and storming" that i did not quite understand. This book opened my insight into the dynamics of groups like none other i have read in the past. i highly recommend the book for anyone looking to make autonomous and adpative teams.

Written by a fossil about a past world. Almost everything in this book is permeated by obsolete attitudes and organizational conceptions.

The second-edition of this book was used as a course book for CommRc 1106, Small Group Communication, in the Fall of 2008 at the University of Pittsburgh. Mostly well-outlined, punctuated with a few awkward sentences and many good anecdotes, this book is a good supplement to navigating the worlds of small-group work, whether they be virtual or reality based. Informative and education.
