An odd read, I guess good if you want something to catch a childs attention. But I’m use to children books having some kind of lesson. But this was just all over the place. To sum it up child grows up loved and cared by parent who she doesn’t know is truly a monster that eats human. One day she falls in love with a strange young man because he is good looking. Quotation she falls “in love with him at once” The secretly persue each other. She find out from the young boy that her mom is a monster because he told her so. They continue their relationship. She never confront her mother about the information or anything. Mother find out child is see a guy she become mad never confrontes daughter about it. But behind her daughter back eats the boy. Daughter finds the heart of the boy run off to the village chief. When mother find daughter is missing she furiously she hunts down her daughter. (No one is communicating with each other by the way). Mother aims to eat her as well. The chief of the town kills the mother. I don’t the point of the story. I have to research to see if this really is a story or good translation for the story they say it was translated from. I really wanted to like this story. I tried so hard to find the angle but it was terrible. Just terrible my daughter says she scared now
