After enjoying a mind-blowing evening with Adam, Ruby then spends a long, difficult, and psychologically agonizing week as she desperately awaits his next contact. When day after day, it doesn't come, she realizes that she's about to fall even further into the coal-black abyss that constantly threatens to claim her. To try and derail the hurtling train of near-unavoidable self-destruction rushing straight at her, she relents to the pushy insistence of her well-meaning assistant, and agrees to go out on a blind date with yet another handsome stranger.

Meeting Michael Blythe at her favorite Chinese restaurant, Ruby is pleasantly surprised to find out what a nice, handsome man he is. But when Adam, who'd been completely silent and unreachable for seven whole days, suddenly shows up to jealously and aggressively claim her, how will she react? Will she ignore her new-found connection with Michael in order to leave with Adam, instead?

Regardless of her choice, it soon becomes apparent that Adam is intent on engaging in a full-out, relentless, and unscrupulous pursuit to possess every single part of her. But as she begins to stumble through the resulting minefield, she accidentally also begins to discover the first glimmer of a realization that there may be more than a few sinister secrets regarding who and what he really is.

Follow the tangled web of lies, passion, and deceit as this fiercely-erotic thriller continues in Part II.

Dominique D. DuBois

Dominique D. DuBois is a full-time writer of erotic fiction. Although she tries to write at least 4-6 new books a month, she sometimes gets side-tracked by real life. She has many, many ideas and begins books all the time (which she will, at some time or another, duly finish), but she typically lets her heart lead the way as far as which ones she decides to publish first.

Dominique belives that all creative work, especially erotica, is capable of highlighting real issues within our society, and that it is also capable of identifying real conflicts within the human psyche. Although she sometimes writes Submissive "Shorts" focused primarily on the glory of hot, uncomplicated sex, she truly enjoys writing her more detailed novelettes; stories that rivet and entertain people by relying heavily on fascinating characters, and exciting plot development.

She is very proud of her first series, "The Cottage Of Carnal Delights" (available now in Compilations I-III).

Currently, she is busy working on finishing the story of "The Captive Bride", and also completing her new, thrilling series, "Beautiful Agony".

Dominique would be happy to hear from you at ddduboisnovellas@yahoo.com.

Boring.
The interactions between her and Michael was just meh. All they did was talk about nothing, ate, while Michael ogled her tits. Then, somewhere in the middle of the story, the dude from the first book shows up and you get the same, almost identical, sex scene that it was in the first instalment.
I'm done with this author.
