Again, I am reminded why I love this series so much. For a moment, it seemed like Ippo really would retire (even though there's about 50 volumes after this one). And I know that. But whilst readind, all I could think was 'please don't quit. please don't retire.' This manga really sucks you in. On another note: looks like the Makunouchi-Miyata fight is definately off. And I'm sort of sad about it, because I had started to look forward to it. I'm also kind of relieved, since I've been also rather apprehensive about seeing my two favourite characters in a fight... So Ippo's back in the ring, and he'll start aiming at the world. First hurdle to take: Jimmy 'Scratch J' Sisfa, the Thai Champion...

Ugh, this arc sucks. The dropped match with Miyata, The "fate" theme repeated over and over, the Gedo fight... Just a weak arc in an otherwise great series.
