This is an entertaining book of crafts and activities for children (targeted toward girls). Many of the crafts look like they are things that older children can make with little to no supervision. And the recipes look yummy. Other projects are more complicated, but still manageable with adult assistance.
Our oldest loves books like this and she really liked the different projects. I'm not sure how many she'll do, but it was fun to look at them. The big, colorful photographs really complement the narrative and help to explain the instructions.

This book is packed with inexpensive crafts that can be done in an hour or less and are so much fun. It has step by step instructions and lots of interesting side points.
I would like to point out that from an adult stand point this book is not "Big" as the title suggests but it is certainly packed with great crafts and activities.

This book has everything!! Crafts, recipes, furniture make-overs, sewing, gardening ideas, sleep over games and more! There really is something for everyone. I will say that for most of the activities, children will need help from adults.

Some of these could be fun teen programs. My faves: Strawberry boots, ice cream making, glove change purses, music games.
