BABY takes the cake. And the sandwiches. And the hay. What else could the goats do but run off with the toilet paper? A modern-day twist on an old romantic fairy tale. THE COWBOY'S BABY. Quirky, fun, and Texan to the core. Will Sleeping Beauty ever wake the hell up and fix this mess? Impossibly attractive Ellison Stewart says yes, and right now. He needs her to save his golf course. Cassandra Lennon, the beauty in question, sees this young man sleepwalking through life and resolves to save him instead. Will the real Sleeping Beauty please stand up. Definitely not the same old baby. From Gretchen Rix, the author of TALKING TO THE DEAD GUYS and ARROYO. First in THE COWBOY'S BABY series.
Just confusing Overall 2 out of 5 stars Performance 2 out of 5 stars Story 2 out of 5 stars
I was not sure if I was coming or going. there were many character and the blending of them felt off. It did not feel cohesive. There were sections of the story that was likable.
The narrator just was not my cup of tea. The older people didn’t really sound older and those that were in supposed thirties and forties sounded much older. The picture being created by the narration was not the same as the picture created by the story.
