Mark begins the day talking on the phone with his very nervous brother, Scott, who is about to take his doctoral oral exam. After hanging up, Mark realizes he wanted to say more - to be a better encourager. He calls Scott back, but he's already left. As the day wears on, he realizes he needs to make the two-hour drive to wish his brother well. He does so, and arrives just in the nick of time. Scott is shocked, but pleased. They are able to share a quick but meaningful moment before the exam starts, and when it is over, Mark is glad he obeyed the prompting from God to step out and serve his brother.
