Kis Jahan Ka Zar Liya (English: ) is a sublime story of love, betrayal, deceit and sacrifice. Farooq and Shehla are madly in love but his financial status and responsibilities almost impossible to meet are what is keeping them apart. Everything changes when Maleeha, a rich and beautiful girl, enters Farooq's life.
This story was first published in Khawateen Digest then later in Sahar Aik Ista'ara Hai.

About the author

Umera Ahmed is one of the most widely-read and popular Urdu fiction novelist and screenplay writer of this era.
She completed her Masters in English Literature from Murray College, Sialkot. Later she became an English language lecturer for the students of O and A levels at Army Public College, Sialkot. However she left the job a few years back in order to devote her full attention to writing.
She began her writing career in 1998 at a quite young age. Her initial stories were published in monthly urdu digests and later came out in the form of books. She has written about 16 books , comprising of complete novels and compilations of short stories. However it was her novel "Peer-e-Kaamil (S.A.W.W)" which became her identity.

ایسی کہانی عمیرہ احمد کے ہی قلم سے کئی بار پڑھی ہوئی لگتی ہے کسی نہ کسی انداز میں کم و بیش ایسے ہی کردار۔

کاش ملیحہ کے بارے میں کچھ بتاتیں رائٹر۔۔لیکن پھر سوچتی ہوں کیا ہی بتاتیں, اور اس سے کچھ فرق پڑتا جو کچھ فاروق نے کیا اس کے بعد۔ لیکن میرا دل کیا کہ ملیحہ کے پی۔او۔وی سے بھی کچھ پڑھوں

عمیرہ احمد اپنی ہر تحریر میں کوئی نہ کوئی ایسا سبق سکھانے کی بھرپور کوشش کرتی ہیں جو انسان کی زندگی پر بہت گہرا اثر چھوڑ جاتا ہے . اس چھوٹے سے ناول میں بھی ہمیں یہ سیکھنے کو ملتا ہے کہ ہمیں کسی بھی انسان کے دل سے نہیں کھیلنا چاہیے. خاص کر کسی ایسے دل سے جو بہت معصوم ہو. جب انسان خود محبت کرتا ہو، محبت جیسے جذبے سے آشنائی ہو، اور پھر اس سب کے باوجود کسی اور کی محبت کو ایسے روندا جائے. فاروق جیسا انسان نا صرف ایک لالچی انسان تھا بلکہ اس لالچ کے نشے میں اندھا ہو کر ملیحہ کو سلو پوائزن بھی دیتا رہا. گویا ایک عدد قاتل بھی. کیسے اسکے دل نے کم ظرف ہونا گوارا کیا. اتنا کم ظرف انسان کہ ملیحہ کے اس طرح بے سرو سامانی کی حالت میں نکل جانے پر بھی خوش ہونا. ضمیر کی موت جب ہو جائے تو انسان پھر اسی طرح کی بےحسی کا شکار ہو جاتا ہے جیسے فاروق ہوا. اور تو اور اسکی بیوی شہلا وہ کس قدر لالچی اور خودغرض نکلی کہ اسے ایک عورت ہوتے ہوئے بھی دوسری عورت کا درد محسوس نہ ہو سکا. مختصر یہ کہ جب انسان کم ظرف ہو جائے، بے حس، اللہ کے خوف سے خالی دل لیے، دنیاوی محبت کا شکار ہو جائے تو اسے کسی کی بھی سچے جذبات، بے لوث محبت نظر نہیں آتی. اسی لیے ان چیزوں سے پناہ کی دعا کی جائے ورنہ بعد کے پچھتاوے سب کچھ ہونے کے باوجود سکون کی زندگی میسر نہیں آنے دیتے.

I read a story that moved me to tears because of Farooq's despicable behavior towards Maleeha. It left me wondering what would have happened to her if it weren't for Farooq's son. Unfortunately, cases like this are all too common in our society. I couldn't help but think about those who are going through similar ordeals and don't have someone like Maleeha's loving son to support them.

I was surprised that he took his stepmother's side instead of his biological parents, and it was heartwarming to see that there are still good people out there who are willing to give shelter and support to those in need. The reunion between the mother and son was everything and it made my heart feel warm. Overall, I loved this book, but giving it three stars cuz I do disagree with the idea of women giving up so much of themselves in a relationship that they lose parts of their souls
