This first solo book 'For The Love Of Words. A Book of Poetry and Short Stories' is a collection Of various emotional poetry and short stories. The poetry you'll read here are of personal connection that I have myself experienced. These are of wonder, heartache and loss. Others are of various emotions of situations people encounter throughout their lives, dark poetry, humor, parenthood, and such. I do hope that the reader can find some connection in my poetry and short stories as a form of relation, understanding, laughter and healing.

Venisia Gonzalez is a published author, entertainment journalist, video game industry contractor, copy editor, freelance journalist, and public relations manager working towards becoming a video game writer and publicist. With a focus on character development, plot, world-building, scriptwriting, and Gonzalez possesses a master of arts in public relations.

Gonzalez is a Latinx in Gaming and the Puerto Rico Game Developers (PRGD) member. She is a part of various literary groups for her poetry and a recipient of awards within that network. Venisia enjoys gaming, esports, books, comics, public relations, journalism, art, photography, creating music, and more.

Gonzalez has been writing poetry and short stories since she was young. It became a passion for her the first time she read poetry by the famous Pablo Neruda. This “Love of Words” continued throughout her schooling and even now. Her poetry was published in random books such as ‘Inspirations Vol. 1: A Collection of Short Works’ and similar magazines. Her work has a growing following in various poetry forums which she only hopes will continue to blossom.

On February 17, 2012, Venisia Gonzalez was interviewed by Tarringo T. Vaughan of The FlexWriters Café of Poetry, also known as The Flex (http://flexwriterblogsonline.net), for an article in Café Chat for an exclusive article about her work. This was her first interview and acknowledgment of years of writing. She and her family were very proud of this accomplishment. She is very honored and grateful to Mr. Vaughan for his wonderful piece and the chance of additional exposure to her work.
