I'm in the research stage of a graphic design project - an atlas of the state of Florida - and was pleasantly surprised by this book. Jumping in I knew it was mostly information on architecture/the real estate boom and I figured I would just skim it, copy down the important information, and return it to the library. But instead I found myself reading quite deeply and learning a LOT about Florida's rich history. Because I'm not particularly interested in architecture and don't know much about the field, at times the book could feel a little dull. Nonetheless, I found this book pertinent to my research on Florida as this book is chalk full of golden nuggets of wisdom!
If for some reason you're interested in Floridian history or doing a project on Florida, please pick up this book. There is a lot you won't find on Google (at least, not in the first 5 pages of results - gosh why are we so darn lazy now?) and I guarantee you'll find at least something in this book memorable and enjoyable.
