What a little gem! Yes, some of the Excel directions are a little outdated, but this is a lovely book for a graduate school seminar; in fact, my adviser thought she had assigned it. It may rely too much on online "course website" resources, but the in-book assignments both check for understanding of concepts and encourage you to make progress in your own project ("draft a presentation of your results," one cheerily suggests). I also appreciated the progression from choosing units of discourse towards analysis and publication. Why is it out of print?
