Detective David Jackaman was once just a regular homicide detective. Well, to call him "regular" might perhaps do him a slight disservice. He was actually pretty good.
Unfortunately for him though, his previous case (a brutal, very unnatural murder) ended up changing him in more ways than one. A year later, and he is a hollow man, racked with guilt; a shadow of his former self.
