Rate this book
Throughout the day song lyrics from classic 70s hit songs play inside Eric Martin’s head. Single, handsome, successful, and in a career that involves travel, Eric appears to be living the dream; yet he feels empty. That is, until the day he lays eyes on a beautiful stranger in a crowded Chicago airport and calls her his ‘Sweet Caroline.’ Eric is able to get this mystery woman’s attention for light conversation; eventually they part and he is left wanting more. Told from Eric’s perspective, Your Song is a witty, sensual, and touching story of one man’s journey in search of what was missing from his life. Ultimately even Eric is surprised by the song that reveals itself to be his greatest hit of all time.

'Your Song' was a definite page turner. Gina Elle brought to life such interesting characters whose secrets and mysteries make one think about all the facets of human nature we keep hidden or buried until circumstances force us to 'face the music'. I loved that the story was set in Toronto and Gina Elle's knowledge of the city is very apparent in the way she describes so accurately the beautiful city as seen through the eyes of her characters. This is a story of love, family, friendship and grief so eloquently written and very contemporary. Can't wait for Gina Elle's next novel!
