Born in the Cotton Fields of Arkansas, Grew up in Arkansas moved to California when I was sixteen living my adult life there until my retirement from the metals industry after thirty plus years in Management. Started writing as a stress reliever working and raising children. Wrote some of my book in long hand/typewriter until 1987 when I bought my first computer. Writing on it because I enjoyed just writing. First published in 2011 my series called the Lightning in the Tunnel. Since I had twenty-four years to write it, they all came out assembly line fashion through book seven of the series. Writing my first time travel book called "T.T. Gristman" was followed by my first Science fiction called "A Stranger comes Crawling". Followed closely by my mystery book written twenty years ago that I just updated it to present times. Called "Brandi's Nightmare" and now I have just recently at the end of February 2013 published book one of my science fiction series called the "Chronicles of the Marauder" of Marauder Chronicles. Don't have any idea how long this series will be but right now planning on it being three books! Each will be a stand alone book but following the same guidelines in the story. The only book not written of the Lightning in the Tunnel series is "Lightning Rages" the final book that follows "A Need for Lightning". It is three quarters written but I still don't know how I want to end it. For those that are curious, I have seven children and twenty-one grandchildren with three great grandchildren and I am happily married. My wife was the one pushing me to publish, I prefer just to write whether anyone reads my books or not! She loves the stories especially "Terror Reigns" and "Brandi's Nightmare" ,(my mystery book even she couldn't solve until the end, her being a mystery reader that was nice) Her favorite reading is science fiction more than mysteries that she she grew up reading. So my science fiction is for her even if no one else ever reads them!
‘Chronicles of the Marauder’ by A.G. Moye was a different kind of a story for me. Maybe because I don’t normally read sci-fi, and surely not the ones that involve space and other worlds. However, the first book in the series was surprisingly enjoyable.
The main character is a man named Neil. The interesting thing about him is that he isn’t a ‘all good’ kind of character that some heroes tend to be. He has a past and that hinders people from completely trusting him. There were a lot of characters in the story but the author did a good job giving them their own personalities. I would be lying if I said I remember all the names that showed up.
Another good thing about the book is the way everything has been described. The author takes time describing the spaceship the characters are in as well as other things that have been developed in order to make up for the lack for resources. The rest of the things also pop up into clear view as you continue to read. We get to know about the different alien races that Neil and his crew encounter. It can’t be a story without some sort of character development and that’s exactly what Neil experiences as he helps one of the alien races to stand up and fight.
‘Chronicles of the Marauder’ Book 1 by A.G. Moye gets five out of five stars from me. It creates a rich outer space world for the readers and sets things up for the rest of the books in the series. Fans of sci-fi won’t be disappointed with this one.
Truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read Book 2. The characters are great and the originality of plot and scenery are definitely a great change of pace for sci-if! This is a must read!
