This novel - Pirates by the amazing Carlee Hughes - has one of the best fantasy plots I’ve ever read. It is engaging and full of mystery. It redefined the term “celestial” for me in more ways than one. Each and every character has many interesting layers, and it is clear why their journeys across the seas had to be interwoven. This novel provides the reader with a new perspective on delicate themes such as racism through an original take on what I thought could be perceived as historical fiction. This novel is amazing! I strongly recommend you read it too!
