This book is about forgiving others and ourselves, second chances, and God's grace. Kyle Morgan wrestled with not forgiving himself for the death of his best friend, Jordan. He left town hoping to leave his problems behind. When we leave because we don't want to deal with things, those things follow us around and get bigger until they are dealt with.
Nikki Alexander was dealing with her own issues with forgiveness. Nikki had been in love with Kyle for years. When he left, she felt angry, betrayed, and maybe even a little guilty about her brother's death too. She never dealt with those feelings so when he returned, they all came back.
God is the ultimate forgiver and we must forgive others if we want Him to forgive us! Forgiveness is a hard concept....... but it is so freeing! To see if Kyle & Nikki deal with their forgiveness issues, you have to read the book! Happy Reading!

Love in the Air was such an enjoyable book! Elizabeth Goddard did an excellent job of crafting characters that I grew to really care about.
Kyle Morgan hasn't been back to Albuquerque in three years. He was so guilt-ridden over the death of his best friend, Jordan, that he couldn't face Jordan's family. Now that Kyle has returned, he hopes to gain the forgiveness of Nikki, Jordan's sister. He also has some promises that he made to Jordan that need to be fulfilled.
Nikki wants to forgive Kyle and learn to trust him again. She also recognizes the wonderful male role model he makes for her nephew, Jordan's son, Matthew. But she is very worried about her heart. Nikki fell in love with Kyle years before, and lost him right along with her brother. Can she trust Kyle to stay around this time?
This book is well-written. The attraction that Nikki and Kyle feel for each other, as well as the hurt that they sometimes inflict upon each other, kept me riveted to this story all the way to the end. I also thoroughly enjoyed the setting of a hot air balloon business and the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

I really enjoyed this story and learning a little about hot air balloons. The characters were great. I like first crush stories. Nikki and Kyle knew each other a lot of years. I liked how Kyle realized that his love for ballooning included Nikki and was not the same without her.

Nikki lost her brother Jordan three years ago due to an accident in the 'Gordon Bennett' long distance gas balloon race. His best friend, Kyle Morgan had been with him on that fateful day and since then Kyle just up and disappeared. Nikki had always had feelings for Kyle and visa versa. Jordan also was a single father to his son Michael who, in his will, left Nikki to care for him. Nikki never understood why Kyle had just left without a word and didn't even go to Jordan's funeral. It not only saddened Nikki but she felt betrayed and also blamed Kyle for her brother's death. Suddenly, out of the blue, Kyle shows up at Sky High looking for a job as a pilot and he was instantly hired by the Manager. When Nikki saw him her heart skipped a beat at how handsome he looked, but at the same time the old hurt lingered in her and she could not forgive him. Now it was up to Kyle to try and make amends for the pain he caused Nikki and her family as well as try to win Nikki's heart as well.

Nikki is raising her brother’s young son, Michael, and shielding him from the business that killed his father.
I read this in a day. It was predictable, but there was a smidgen of suspense written in, though even that was predictable, but it added a little tension. A good read, one I’d recommend. 4 stars. $4.99. 192 pages.

I really loved this story and the charecters in it. The way they had to overcome and forgive each other and themselves for their past hurts and issues and learn to trust again. It was beautiful to see her love for him come to fruition and his develop deeper. I've always loved hot air baloons, so this story was extra special
