There was a lot going on in this book. The author, Jana Pauldo, had me wondering if she had a creative mind or if she was just crazy (LOL)! I enjoyed the story and although at times it was hard to read because of things that were happening to the characters, I found it really entertaining and thought the ending was very good. When I said dysfunction at its best, I meant that literally. The story touches on incest, child abuse, low self-esteem, betrayal, STDs, and major disrespect just to name a few, but it focuses on almost everything that society tries to keep in the dark. The author toots her own horn a couple of times, but it's a great debut, so I can't blame her. :-) I would have given 5 stars, but there were a few grammar and editing issues that stood out. I'm definitely looking forward to more from Jana and would recommend this to others.

At first the book was slow n boring. As I read more it took a life of its. I guess the author got comfortable finally let it flow. I couldn't put it down. More people should read it if they suffer from loneliness. Remember u r never alone. Henceforth, loneliness is a disease that plagues the younger generation, but we have to fight to let to avoid this. Love someone in your life who means u well, hold on n be there for some. Let them know that they r never alone when they have someone who loves. Remember making time to be does not take that long at all!

Based on the title, I knew I wanted to make this purchase prior to its release. Once I read the synopsis I decided against it. I didn't think I'd want to read a book about an incest relationship. After some time between conversing with the author via a social network & reading the reviews, I changed my mind. I'm glad I did. This was a good read. The main character had some very serious issues and the idea of a relationship between a brother & a sister is very disturbing but the over all message of being "scared of lonely" is something that most women can relate to. A lot of times women hold on to damaging relationships because they can not stand the idea of being alone & they are chasing love by any means necessary. The author was able to convey this struggle with this entertaining read. Based on this book, I will definitely support the authors future releases.
