When a park ranger decides to return home from Northern California to Los Angeles to visit the remainder of his immediate family, an unusual set of circumstances randomly arranges an encounter with two of his brother`s associates. Upon meeting them, he is accepted into a clandestine weekend metal detecting fraternity, whose past investigative outings have uncovered a mysterious cavern located in the deserts of Nevada. Open is exactly what its title implies. Completed in 2000, Open is Adam Joseph’s second novel. A third novel is in progress and should be available in bookstores during the summer of 2003.

Adam Joseph delivers thoughtful answers to questions about existence, what it means to be human, consciousness, and much more in his groundbreaking works of philosophy.

He is an author, poet, and philosopher in his own right. He peels back the otherwise banal, ordinary veneer of everyday life to reveal a complex, tormented, and sublime metaphysical world where he explores and exposes the true nature of our self and being.
