Joseph Fan is an attorney and real estate broker living in New York City. He is a graduate of Baruch College (City University of New York) and Cornell Law School. He co-founded the nonprofit organization Street Action For Equality & Respect (SAFER: NC) with his now wife, Julia, to end street harassment by engaging men to be part of the solution (www.safernyc.org). His legal research has been published in the Criminal Law Bulletin and the St. John’s University School of Law Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development. Joseph is also a motivational speaker, life coach, and fashion coach. Joseph is known for his 1,000 person flash mob proposal to his now-wife, Julia, at Daybreaker, a sober, early-morning dance party and his TEDx Community Event talk at NYU in 2017.
