This book describes various features of crush syndrome, based on the experiences during the Marmara earthquake, Turkey, in 1999, which was characterized by the highest number of victims reported so far. The author worked as the coordinator for the Renal Disaster Relief Task Forces, the International Society of Nephrology and the Turkish Society of Nephrology during and after the disaster; and, in this book, describes his extensive experience on the management of crush syndrome casualties.
