Laurel is only three weeks away from taking her final vows as a Sister and sealing her commitment to God and the church when she meets someone who turns her world upside down.
Laurel is about to take her final vows to become a nun. She promised God when her dad was having an operation to save his life that if he pulled through she would commit her life to him. Her family has other ideas and want her to have a life before she does something like this. Especially her sister.
Julian doesn't believe in God and makes sure he tells Laurel that when he meets her in the coffee shop. He just doesn't know that she is a sister. All he knows is that he is falling in love with her and wants to spend his life with her. So her sister comes up with a plan when he finds out what her plans are.
This story was pretty good. It was a little different and one that I didn't know what the outcome would be. I was pulling for Julian the whole time that Laurel would forgive him and have a life with him. Love only comes around so often and if you're lucky to find it you better take a hold of it and never let go.
I love to read books like this. One's that have a different spin on them and keeps you guessing until the very end.
I loved that instant recognition each of them had. That they truly belonged to or better Sid they belonged with each other. They have that spark. Julian is a hot man. He definitely is experienced and knows how to pleasure the female species. Wow. Laurel seems more like a child than a woman. Granted she's sheltered herself and she is a sister in waiting but still she is too much of a child. I liked and disliked her also because she seemed to me as she wasn't mature enough to decide what she really wanted. And at times she used God. The creator as a crutch. You don't really want to do that. The lovemaking and it truly was lovemaking. Between the was hot. And sweet. And what's with the reminder that he seems to resemble her daddy? Well their daddy because her sister tells her daddy of the resemblance.
