KMOX Radio personality John Carney moves to the front burner with a new book. Hundreds of recipes shared by some of St. Louis' best eateries are compiled into a cookbook. "It isn't easy getting a restaurant to give up its secrets," Carney explains, "but when I threatened a visit from the health inspector...". Recipes from some of the best St. Louis restaurants are featured, including Cage Balaban, Harvest, Rigazzis, Annie Gunn's and Lynch Street Bistro. There are also recipes from famous eateries long-since closed, like Al Bakers. The recipes originated from 15 years of restaurant interviews on Carney's radio show. More than 200 recipes from area chefs will be featured.
