Awakened Love: More Love Poems

Rate this book
"Awakened Love" is the second in a series of sacred love poetry by New Thought author, artist and minister Kanta Bosniak. Delightfully illustrated with whimsical, heart-themed drawings and quotes on love, the book imbues spiritual meaning with lightness and a sense of fun. The perfect size to slip in with a wedding gift or slide across the table at that special dinner. There's plenty of space allowed in the margins for your own romantic doodles and inscriptions and as with Bosniak's other print books, you're invited to color in and embellish the illustrations as you desire. A sweet little gift book and rich new source of alternative wedding readings.

Love, Love, Love and more Love! All of these books are fabulous. Mind you these books are poetry, and poetry in my opinion is very hard to review in most cases. I usually don't read poetry or love stories in the first place, but with that said, I totally dig it! They make my soul feel happy and I enjoyed every single one. I actually have been wanting to write one out and make it pretty and all and give it to my hubby to show him my love to him. He likes when I do that ;) I feel as though she knows who we are when ut comes to love and showing love to each other and ourselves. I believe that those of us who are lovers have a sense of each other, unlike those who are not lovers, and I feel she has a connection to those who are lovers and knows who she is reaching out to.

On that note, the drawings are AMAZING! I love whimsical pictures and these are just beautiful. The pictures give me a sense of love, spiritually and a safe haven. It's easy on the eyes and relaxes all my senses.

Again, I enjoyed these books so much and I believe they need to be shared.

The unique random uplifting poems continue in this second book from Kanta. Her words are fun, happy, soulful and spiritual helping you to recognise the true you, your deep rooted inner you with cleverly worked triggers of simple subtle words in poems. They trigger happiness and love and you find yourself smiling as you read, you can even find some touch your heart, as the title suggests they try to awaken the love inside.

I found this book a little more focused yet still gentle and soothing. The overall message I found to be is to be yourself as you are, not as you think you should be, love yourself and those around you, slow down and enjoy the life of love we have in the moment. The simple free hand drawings from Kanta echo this, sometimes a very simple image creates the most intense meaning. Quotes and phrases, selected by Kanta, also accompany the book throughout.

I have plenty of favourites such as Mirror Heart but the one most closest to my heart was Porcupines and Otters. A wonderful thought provoking book that can be enjoyed by so many.

This is the first of this author's books to which I have chosen to give a 5-star rating. Don't get me wrong--the author is a fantastic poet, but I especially liked this one. For whatever reason, I was able to connect with the literary and cultural references in a way I could not with the other two books. This is certainly my favorite, and I struggle to know why. Maybe it took me this long to grasp the author's style, but I connected with practically every poem, quote, and illustration in the book. If I had to choose one to give as a gift, I would pick this one. But again, poetry is one of the most subjective literary forms out there. Her word pictures are delightful, and at times I felt I was a part of the poem rather than just a spectator.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Awakened Love has some really good poetry. I really enjoyed reading through this book. Some of the poems jumped out and said hey, here we are. Mr. Sandman was the first one that really caught me in this book. Another is called Sharing. The one that really sticks with me is called The Perfect Sleeper. It is my favorite in this book. They all bring to mind how I feel with my husband and make me smile.

I really enjoy the illustrations in all of Kanta's poetry books. They make me smile every time I open one of the books. I want to grab my color pencils and spend some time relaxing and coloring them.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book free from the author in order to review it. Regardless, all opinions are my own. I was not required to leave a positive review.

Awakened Love, More Love Poems are also written and illustrated by Kanta Bosniak. To truly describe this book, read Master of the Revels. No matter what anyone can say about Kanta’s writing – I feel that every word she wrote, every line she drew represent love and faith and a reason to be alive and enjoy the moment “carpe diem”

I loved how Kanta related love and faith together in this collection of poems. It was a terrific read when I was pressed for time. Many of the poems I found myself sharing with friends and family. As always I love the drawings she puts in her books to go along with the poems.

'Awakened Love: More Love Poems' is a fun poetry book. It's definitely great if you share it with someone you love, like I did with my husband. Like with her first poetry book, 'Love Poems', she included her own drawings that you can color and add to. Such a fun book!

I adore this 2nd collection of poems that inspire the soul.
My favorite poem from this collection is "Rainbow" I would recommend these books to anyone who is in love, awakening their soul, or even fans of the "Chicken Soup for the soul series"
