I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author comes from a place of sharing how he coped and is coping with tragic loss in his own life. He also breaks down the grief process from his own perspective as well as his surviving family members and the experiences of others that he has come in contact with. I highly recommend this book for anyone going through personal loss or wanting a better understanding of someone they know who is.
A brilliant book about what grief is like. Written by a man who lost 3 members of his family in one go. Maybe not a book to read while grieving, but definitely before or well after. It was thought provoking. It's written by a Christian, but many of the chapters don't mention God, but this is ok, many aspects of grief are universal. But as the book progresses God is mentioned more and more. I'd definitely recommend and read again.
This book is a phenomenal description of grief and the process of not how to overcome it but to move through it. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with grief or loss.
