This book is so much pulp that the pages turn themselves. Also, the first few pages are a real rollercoaster ride. You think that the plot is going in one direction but then it swerves and turns into a completely dark story.

They say that the key to writing good thriller fiction is to not be afraid of killing your favourite characters. I think they learned it from Surendra Mohan Pathak. The book is about crime wars and the underworld. The protagonist (antagonist) is a ruthless mobster and bootlegger Sikandar. The man is menacing and as evil as they come.

The pros of reading this book is the satisfaction of reading 300 pages in 3 hours. But the cons are aplenty too. There are many editing errors. The language is Hindustani with a confusing mix of etymologically diverse words. The plot is racy and reminds of a Bollywood masala entertainer.

If, as a writer, you need to take away anything from the book and its writing, it must be how to hold the reader's interest. SMP is a guilty pleasure for a reason.

Awesome read. This was my second book i picked for mr pathak. To my surprise it was completely different then the last book conman. I didnt have high hopes for this one and i am happy i was proved wrong. The story is about a kidnapping which keeps you glued and then it evolves to a gangwar. Sikander is the protagonist whoes dialogue delivery is awesome. I liked the typical mumbia dialect used by the author. The ending could have been different since i didnt want to end it on a sad note. Read it to find out more.
