A Novella from the J. Joseph Wright Horror Collection

Rumors have persisted about the big house at the end of Pebble Creek Road for years. People say it’s a black hole. New occupants move in, never to be seen or heard from again. There are other rumors, too. Rumors residents in the tiny community of Vernonia, Oregon, are afraid to repeat. Locals call it the Castle. Brian and Angela Mason call the foreclosure the home of their dreams. A place to start a family. A place to grow old. Little do they know, it’s also a place to die.

Bank Owned is sexual, erotic and terrifying. Not intended for Children.

J. Joseph Wright penciled his first novel in the fourth grade, but, after failing to publish it, toiled away in obscurity until his freshman year in high school. Upon reading and, inexplicably, enjoying one of J.'s witless essays, his English Comp teacher, a man of questionable taste, recommended he write for the school newspaper. Soon J. was regaling the student body with a fantasy horror fiction column, gaining a robust early fan base, albeit from a captive school audience.

After college, J. left a highly lucrative career in television for an even more lucrative career as an author, and now writes Paranormal Romance, Horror, Science Fiction, and Fantasy.

Can't understand the decent reviews on this, it's utter drivel! Complete nonsense, I mean what exactly is 'stearn breath'? The characters are one dimensional idiots who apparently lack a brain cell between them, the plot is so weak it seems like something thought up in 5 minutes in order to revolve around the authors desire to write about a BDSM sex dungeon.

What is scarier than haunted houses, ghostly kids and evil banks? Not much and you will find them all in this novella. I've read several of J. Joseph Wright's stories and while the others have seemed reminiscent of a Twilight Zone episode, this one seemed more like a scary movie, have Guillermo del Toro take a crack at it and it would be super haunting!

The story revolves around a couple purchasing a dream home at a dream price. As they move in the house moves into their minds, it brings out their deepest fears to the surface until they are at the brink of madness. Great story!

A couple think they have found their ideal dream house, but soon realize there's something very wrong and evil about their choice. This 69 page novella starts off slowly, but by the time you finish this story, your heart will beating faster! I would definitely recommend this book to adult horror readers. I found it to be excellently written and well worth the time it took to complete.
