**Word of Warning: don't get swindled by the tricky cover-- this book does not contain any stories of the Russell Wilson era despite #3 being featured on the cover!**
As a 12th-Man fan, I enjoyed the look into the inside, locker room, and sideline stories that made the Seahawks a beloved team. That being said, there are two main issues with the book (hence the 3 star rating). 1. I received the 2017 printing as a gift, so imagine my surprise when I discovered, at the end, that the 2017 update included no mention of Pete Carroll, Russell Wilson, Legion of Boom, Beast Mode... nothing from the Super Bowl Championship era. This was even more surprising considering a good number of these players and Pete himself made the author's All-Time Seahawks Team list. 2. The organization of stories is haphazard at times, and follows no true logical/chronological order. It reads more like an Sunday afternoon retelling of stories over a BBQ and a few beers. Regardless, this is still a great read for any true 12th Man fan who wants to learn more about our Hawks heritage.
Some good stories but my version has a picture of Russell Wilson on the cover which is misleading. The stories are mostly about the Seahawks from the beginning of the team in 76 to the Hasselbeck years. Entertaining but just be aware you won't be reading stories about Beast Mode or the Legion of Boom.
As a proud 12th man since 2003 who never knew this book existed, this was a brilliant gift from my wife. Living in Dundee, Scotland and falling in love with the game (and team) at 14 years old I'd always wanted to read and learn more. This book is filled with loads of small stories and insights; easily digestible and perfect for people looking to learn more at a glance. For any new Seahawks fan this would be a great starting point and way of learning more about the history of the team. GO HAWKS
It's a decent look at the history of the Seahawks from the beginning up until their first trip to the Super Bowl, by someone who has been there since the beginning.
