Robberies, murders, kidnappings - Minnesota has been home to several notorious crimes. Some were committed by infamous the James-Younger gang, John Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde and others. But not all misdeeds have been done by career criminals. Take a closer look at more than two dozen unlawful acts that rocked Minnesota and often grabbed headlines across the country.
This book was engaging. The entries are mostly fairly short, so this book would be ideal for situations in which you're putting the book down a lot. It is entertaining; I think the best sections are those that deal with the gangster era.
A lot of this I already knew about but it's a really good reminder if you want a quick one. This was a very good book and I'm glad I picked it up. I docked it a star because some of the stories were a little confusing or just a little boring. But all and all it was very good.
A great read of tidbits from Minnesota's criminal past. It's like getting shortened Wikipedia entries that highlight and summarize the best parts. A must for any Minnesotan with an interest in true crime.
Loved the stories and the obvious research done in order to bring many of the major details to light. I do wish the pictures used were bigger as I found many of them lacking. Overall a book filled with fun facts and a few whodunits to keep the pages turning.
