Thoroughly enjoyed this book as a child and have continued to enjoy it. I think this book creates vivid imagery with the language Denis Manton has used within this book with great illustrations to go along with it. Fantastic read!

Disconcerting and quite scary for kids. But important message.

Yet another take on "the big bad wolf" though this particular story has a unique take on it. In this version, the wolf dresses up like the townsfolk so he can shoplift. He goes too far and steals a little boy and the townsfolk find his house and he must move on to the next town.

Kooky, but fun illustrations.
