About the author

Scott Kurtz has been self-publishing his comics to the world wide web since 1998. His work has been nominated for the Harvey Award and in 2006 won the prestigious Eisner Award for best digital comic.
He co-founded the new webcomics.com with his peers to help promote and develop the independent work of online cartoonists.
Mr. Kurtz lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Angela.

When I need an escape or a pick- me- up, I go for a graphic novel and often it's PVP. Makes me laugh everytime. Plus the women are smart.

I have been reading PvP online for ages now. When Kurtz announced he was discounting everything in his shop, I leapt at the chance to get another "Joss Whedon is my Master Now" shirt (the strip that inspired the tee is in here) and I picked up this collection as well.

Kurtz can be a bit of an ass online, but it's clear to me that his writing has been getting stronger and stronger as the years go by. While this collection offers a fairly good cross-section of the strip over the years, it's intended for fans who know who the characters are. I also kinda missed the strips that weren't in here. In an effort to present a wide variety, we only get a taste of Kringus and the Panda. As a result, Kurtz successfully made me want to go back and re-read everything.
