I think this book is an incredibly inspiring story for young people to read. His story of making it out of a difficult place against many odds, to become the youngest person and the first black pilot to fly solo around the world, is one that I think can provide the inspiration to help many young people who are in the situation he was in as young man.

This is an incredible and fascinating autobiography of a young pilot who comes from humble beginnings. He does whatever it takes to achieve his goals of acquiring lessons and a plane to fly around the world. The details of the trip, both the highs and lows, kept me glued to the pages. As a plus, included are numerous photos of international scenes of Irving’s travels.

My son read this book for a school project and loved it so much, he asked me to read it too. What an amazing true story. Barrington Irving is an incredible inspiration to so many. This story of his record-setting flight around the world is a must-read.

Everyone thought he was crazy. Barrington Irving was a young man who had bigger dreams. Well at first it was small, but later it grew bigger... He would become the youngest person and te first black pilot to fly solo around the world. And he would do it in a single-engine plane.

Do you have dreams like him? Grab a book and know how to make it work!
